Sound technician
Mark Burton started his own small PA system hire company in 1990 when he was 19 and went out with it as a sound engineer.
He has built many of his own speaker cabinets. He has been an in-house engineer at the Gloucester Guildhall since 1991 & works for various PA hire companies.
He has worked at over 1000 concerts with a long list of bands and artists including Roger Taylor from Queen, The Damned, Pee Wee Ellis & Humphrey Lyttleton with all styles of music from Jazz to Thrash metal, from Folk to Comedy & also doing drum clinics, corporate award ceremonies, weddings & festivals. He played bass in 2 bands for about 4 years from 1998. His first sound job abroad was in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Baka Beyond in 1998 and still tours with them today.
His first tour was with Jalikunda in 2003 and (as a full member of the Quartet!) has done the sound for all of the Quartet’s concerts in many countries.
